Welcome

Alternative Energy is energy fuelled in ways that do not use up natural resources or harm the environment. This renewable energy is derived from natural processes that are replenished constantly. The majority of renewable energy technologies are directly or indirectly powered by the sun – the largest star in our solar system. These energy flows involve the natural phenomena of sunlight, air flow, and water movement. To harness the vast potentials of these marvels of our environment, the world has developed the technologies of solar power, wind power, and hydropower.

The world’s current method of supplying the majority of our energy needs is with fossil fuels. This has negatively impacted our global ecosystem and can be evaluated not only by global warming, but also by high levels of air and water pollution. Energy markets are finally changing in response to the crisis that is now present. Record oil prices, finite fossil fuel supplies, increasing energy requirements, and climate change have fuelled rapid growth in the renewable energy sector.

An estimated 71 billion dollars was invested in new renewable (wind, small hydro, and solar) power capacity worldwide in 2007, of which 47% was for wind power and 30% for solar energy. Present renewable power capacity of 240 GW represents almost 6% of total global power capacity and the share is increasing at over 15% per year.

GreenStar Alternative Energy is in the business of producing clean, restorative, and profitable energy from the power of wind. We offer shareholders the opportunity to participate in a burgeoning industry on a global scale. At least 66 countries worldwide now have some type of renewable energy promotion and target policy, including 23 developing countries, all 27 European Union countries, China, and the United States.

Clean energy represents "the biggest set of new market opportunities to come along in a long time,… It's something you have to be a part of." (Wall Street Journal, “Betting on Green”, February 11, 2008).
